Former Satellite Party bassist Carl Restivo has revealed, via a MySpace blog entry, that he is to join Tom Morello’s new band Street Sweeper:
I have been asked to join Tom Morello and Boots Riley in their new band… Street Sweeper. We will Rock/Shock you on tour getting the party started for Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction in May and June ‘09 across the country of USA. I’m super psyched to Rock/Shock you again on stage.
Restivo’s appearance on this tour does not surprise me at all. He recently played guitar and bass in Morello’s Freedom Fighter Orchestra, and was Perry Farrell’s right-hand man, prior to Jane’s Addiction’s reunion last year.
A free NINJA Tour EP can be downloaded here. The compilation features newly recorded Jane’s Addiction classics, unreleased With Teeth-era Nine Inch Nails tracks, and Street Sweeper’s debut material.
