Alkaline Trio no longer on Epic Records

3258991120_87ea1014b3Fans that attended Alkaline Trio‘s recent show at Worcester Palladium have stated that the band announced they are no longer signed to Epic Records, and that they will be releasing a new album, through their own label, later in the year.

The band’s sole Epic release, last year’s Agony & Irony, must have sold far less than expected, but the news that are no longer tied to a major label is far from troubling; the punk rock three-piece command a large and loyal fanbase, and this will allow them to record off their own backs with ease.
