If you’re a long-term reader, you may remember that LittleBear was the subject of a very early Stereokill interview. We were enchanted by Nick Principe’s 4-track EP, recorded in solitude in upstate NY in summer 2008. When we left him, he was about to take a road-trip across the US to record the LittleBear album in California. We checked back in with him recently to see what he’s been up to.
“I’ve been traveling for the better part of this year after leaving New York. I worked a few months in Santa Cruz, drove some more, and ended up moving to Portland, OR in January” he told us, “I finished writing the record after settling in here and have been recording it the past few months.”
“This project has been a beast and a best friend and it will definitely be a bit of a new sound for me.”
The album is set to go to print in September. Stay tuned!
