Panic at the Disco alumni Ryan Ross and Jon Walker have launched a MySpace profile for their new project, The Young Veins.
The following blog entry awaits you upon arrival:
Hello, nice to see you.
We are currently in the studio finishing up our first album. You can listen to one of our new songs ["Change"] by clicking here. Enjoy yourself and check back soon for updates.
To my ears, “Change” is a much stronger effort than “New Perspective”, the regressive new track from remaining Panic members Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith.
I’m genuinly excited about The Young Veins; there’s potential for a credible indie-pop act here.

The young veins are horrible with no originality. Panic! At the Disco create amazing music. TYV will not go anywhere while P!ATD will remain incredibly popular.
P!ATD used to be very original, but the originality left the band with Ross and Walker.
I’m looking forward to The Young Veins, I think their album will be GREAT.
young veins sound terrible. new perspective actually has thought put into it.
Yeah me too, I’m looking for the touch of old-fashioned music that had once P!ATD on this new band… I think that P!ATD wouldn’t be P!ATD ’cause they don’t sound like it!
TYV sounds more like P!ATD!
New perspective is by the entire band when they were all together. They had finsihed the song before they split. The only song done by the new line-up of Panic! in Oh Glory. It is amazing but so is the young veins
yeah, whoever said that the young veins sound more like panic than panic needs to drown themselves in a bucket of dead fish. TYV aren’t just looking for a touch of old-fashioned music, they are literally a 60′s band inn the 21st century. When i first heard “change” i thought they’d actually resurrected george harrison to play guitar while they tried to fashion themselves beatle cuts (not that that’s a bad thing, me like). Now Panic! has it’s ! back, they’ll probably go back to a more A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out-esque sound.
People, come on. Can’t we love both? I love both Oh Glory and Change, both bands rock lets leave it at that.
Agreed?
Agreed.
sad that panic broke up, but now we’ve got twice the magic
Juliett – your doin it right.
