After suddenly appearing in the public consciousness earlier this year with their unprecedented nomination for a Novello award earlier this year, The Leisure Society have just put the ink on a deal with London label Full Time Hobby, home to Malcolm Middleton and The Hold Steady, among others.

TLS’ debut album, The Sleeper, already stands out as a contender for best album of 2009. Indeed, you may remember this very critic gushing about its “unprepossessing grace and folksy charm” with undignified enthusiasm. Full Time Hobby are set to re-issue the album in October. If you haven’t yet, head over to their MySpace or pick up a copy of the album. You won’t be disappointed.
