Polar Bear turns over a new Leaf

London post-jazz collective Polar Bear have joined the ranks of The Leaf Label, alongside A Hawk And A Hacksaw and Wildbirds & Peacedrums (do you notice a certain animalistic trend here?) The band is led by Sebastian Rochford, a drummer who has performed with everyone from Acoustic Ladyland to Pete Doherty, and are understood to be working on the follow-up to 2008′s eponymous third album.

Polar Bear have also announced a string of UK dates this autumn/winter:

September
25th – Croydon Clocktower, London

October
12th – Electric Theatre, Guildford
25th – The Glee Club, Birmingham

November
